Spain's consular checklist for the long-stay student visa lists: a signed application form, a passport photo, a valid passport, proof of acceptance at an authorised teaching centre for full-time study, and health insurance covering all risks under the Spanish public health system. For stays over 180 days it also asks for a criminal record certificate (not older than 6 months, apostilled) and a medical certificate issued within 3 months. Funds must equal 100% of Spain's IPREM indicator, plus 75% for the first family member and 50% for each additional one.
