The campus opened in September 2014 and was formally launched on 12 February 2015. The university states a GBP 35 million investment and capacity for up to 4,000 students. Admission requirements

Bachelor's

Applications are accepted year-round through an online portal with certified transcripts and English proof. Undergraduate intakes are January and September, with May and July added for foundation. The equivalence required for the Saudi secondary certificate was not verified.

Postgraduate

Taught master's intakes are January and September (May for the MBA); research degrees January and September, per the apply page. Academic entry requirements were not verified.

English language requirements

Per the university's document dated 31 July 2024 (may have changed): IELTS 5.5 for foundation and year 1, 6.0 for year 2, 6.5 for year 3 and taught master's. TOEFL iBT 70, 70, 80, 90, 90 respectively; PTE 44, 44, 50, 58, 58. Duolingo is not listed. Confirm current scores before applying.

Fees and cost of living

2026/2027 fees for non-Malaysians in RM per the official page: Foundation Science 39,718.20 and Business 36,252 (total); undergraduate 49,046.20 to 59,529.60 per year; taught master's 63,875.60 to 73,935 (total); PhD 21,306 to 47,276 per year. A 6% service tax applies to non-Malaysians and fees may change. International application fee is RM530.

Application deadlines

Applications are open year-round; intakes are January, May and July (foundation) and September. Closing dates per intake did not appear on the page we read, which notes visa deadlines vary by intake. Check the official apply page.

Scholarships and financial aid

The Foundation Excellence Award gives RM15,000 per year through the undergraduate degree for Grade A (70% or above) and RM9,000 for Grade B (60%), for 2026 and 2027 foundation intakes, with the grade to be maintained. Other named awards (High Achiever's for foundation and undergraduate, PhD, Women in Science and Engineering) had no details on the page we read. International eligibility for each was not confirmed.

International applicants pay a RM530 application fee and a student visa fee of RM3,900 for one year for most nationalities, per the apply page; a personal bond may apply via Education Malaysia. Confirm current figures before applying.

Campus life and housing
