The official achievements page states Taylor's began in 1969. It lists SETARA Tier 5 (Excellent) in 2009 and 2011, D-SETARA Tier 6 (Outstanding) in 2013, and a QS 5-star rating for 2019-2022. For enrolment, the QS page shows 8,669 students with about 54% international (4,669); these are QS figures, not from the university page, so check before relying on them. The university is listed in the Malaysian Qualifications Register (MQR) of the MQA.

Location

The main campus is in Subang Jaya, in Greater Kuala Lumpur. The university offers a free airport pickup for new students, with a request form due at least three working days before arrival. Its international guide estimates living costs at about USD 500 per month excluding accommodation.

Admission requirements

Bachelor's

Apply online through the application portal at least nine weeks before the intake. Passport, transcripts, health form and certificates are typically needed. Academic requirements vary by programme; for example the Bachelor of Accounting with Fintech asks for 5 passes including mathematics (SPM/O-Level or equivalent) with a pre-university course, A-Level minimum DD, or IB 26 points. Postgraduate

We did not verify master's or doctoral entry requirements on an official page. The site notes research degrees have extra June and October intakes. Check each programme page.

English language requirements

The general international guide gives no scores. On the Bachelor of Accounting with Fintech page, international applicants need IELTS 5.0 or MUET 3.5, and a pre-university or diploma taught in English is accepted. This is one programme only; scores vary. TOEFL and Duolingo scores were not verified.

Fees and cost of living

International fees are published per programme. Example from the official page: Bachelor of Accounting with Fintech (3 years, full-time) total international fee USD 39,360 (listed in US dollars, not RM; the academic year is not stated on the page). Other programmes were not verified, so check the official fee schedules. Accommodation prices are listed in RM (see housing).

Application deadlines

The university advises applying at least nine weeks before the intake. Intakes listed: February, April, June, September, October and November, varying by programme; most undergraduate programmes use February, April and September. eVAL takes about 6-8 weeks and the Student Pass about 14 working days (up to 45 days in the August-October peak). The passport must be valid at least 18 months from admission.

Scholarships and financial aid

The university lists 2026 undergraduate scholarships, including merit, talent and sports awards of 70% or 50% tuition waiver, a community scholarship (full) for households under RM5,000 a month, and a Taylor's Excellence Award of up to RM13,000 a year. Some criteria refer to Malaysian qualifications (SPM, STPM), so confirm international eligibility on the official page.

International students

The university has an international student guide covering application and the EMGS visa process. After arrival students must report to the university the next working day, complete a medical screening within 7 days, and submit the MDAC three days before arrival. Passport rules differ for some nationalities (Indonesians: 27 months).

Campus life and housing

On-campus residences: RUEMZ (132 beds) and U Residence (888 beds). Sample monthly rents: Standard Twin RM1,700 per person and Standard Single RM2,200 at U Residence. Off-campus Waterfront Residence (about 3.3 km) starts at RM1,250 per person twin sharing.
